Pinoy Sweets

By Ed Dychauco
Pots and Pans

ONE delicious Pinoy trait we have is to finish our meals with something sweet. Be it a slice of our favorite fruit season, a slice of cake, a scoop of ice cream or anything "Pinoy."

Pinoy delicacies are known all over the world because of our creativeness and resourcefulness. Turning something ordinary to something extra-ordinary, we always have our way of inventing and creating new "foodstuff."
Our interest in cooking and baking is gaining popularity so much so that we would always look forward to that very special something prepared by our mom, or even dad! Something baked, steamed, chilled or fried eaten after a meal is always something we looked forward to. Locally, we call it "sera-gana."
