Nuat Thai (Foot & Body Massage)

By Ed Dychauco

IN THIS stressful world, it is not enough that we eat healthy and live healthy. We also have to pamper ourselves. And in doing so, we need to spoil, unwind and treat our mind and body to something relaxing, soothing & comforting.

The newest place in town to do all these pampering is at Nuat Thai, a foot and body massage haven and sanctuary for the tired muscle, body and soul! Located at Papa Juanito's Square, along Agudo Road corner Limketkai Center.

This unpretentious but wholesome sanctuary is franchised by Mr. Edwin Uy of Cebu City and is the latest addition to our ever-growing number of massage places in the city.

With 16 well-trained therapists (nine females - Arlene, Alcris, Asa Marie, Emma, Janet, Junilyn, Joy, Nena, Ruby, Tenie, Louis Marie and five males - Cyril, Edner, Greg, Meejim and MJ) from Cagayan de Oro City, this cream of the crop therapists have to undergo a rigid one-month training under the watchful eyes of Mr. Kenneth Carredo, the owner of Nuat Thai, who studied the intricate authentic art of Thai massage in Thailand!

Nuat Thai offers Thai Dry Body Massage for 60 minutes at P180, Thai Oil Body Massage for 75 minutes at P250 along with other types of massages.

The one I tried was the Aromatherapy Massage where I was given the choice of the following oils: Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Lavender, Camomile, Green Tea and Virgin Coconut Oil. I chose Eucalyptus for the massage oil with Peppermint for the Aromatherapy. What a soothing combination! The massage was a fantastic and surreal experience. My knowledgeable therapist, Greg was really good. With his soft but muscle-relieving tension strokes, the total experience was just wonderful. A calming Christian music in the background makes it feel like heaven on earth!

After the session, I was treated to a delightful and marvelous Thai Herb steaming Bag (or Heating Pad) filled with Herbal Seeds and Grains, Olive-Greens, Lemongrass, Star Anise, Turmeric and Mangosteen Peel for 10 terrific minutes.

The warm bag relieved me of my muscle and joint pains. It truly relaxes my tired muscles!

After an hour and a half of pleasing, soothing & relaxing massage, I was offered a cup of hot green tea, which was exceptionally calmative to my system.

Nuat Thai is a total package for a clean, wholesome pure massage for the entire family. They offer not only physical, but also spiritual relaxation.
